10 Ways Student Pastors Can Kick-Start Disciple Making in Their Student Ministry (Part 2)

Many years ago when I was a newbie in disciple making, I did things the hard way. I remember meeting for hours at coffee shops as different students would come in for 45 minutes each. I would disciple every one of them individually. Many times a disciple making session would go overtime, and disciples would need wait in line for their turn.

It was then I figured I needed a new strategy to simplify my disciple making or I would be jittery from spending all day in a coffee shop. I began reading authors like Robby Gallaty who were passionate veterans at making disciples. When I came across a much more simple, effective way to make more disciples, my life got much easier.

There are two relationships teenagers have to master in life, their relationship with Jesus and their relationship with their spouse. Their relationship with Jesus must be mastered now and for all of life, and of course their relationship with their spouse will be later. This study is all about how a relationship with Jesus through the gospel will get them ready for a godly marriage down the road. Their focus should not be a dating, but on marriage. The first part of the message I tried to prove how everyone is wanting the gospel, then I walked our students through our CBSM version of the Romans Road, and then we took some Q&A.

In this final CBSM study through the Bible, not only do we describe what eternity will be like for the Christian, but we also define what the whole Bible is ultimately about. What do I need to know about hell? It seems like every sermon or talk I hear on hell is either focused on knowledge by emotionally dry, or focused on emotion and empty on truth. I wanted to give my teens a truthful yet emotional study of hell that they can keep with them for the rest of their lives. Here’s my attempt. Let me know what you think.

The End: What will the Final Judgment be like? (Revelation 20:7-15)

What will the Final Judgment be like? Everyone reading this has a different view from each other. Some people think that our good works will be weighed and the outcome will be where we spend eternity. Some people think we won’t be ultimately judged because an all loving God will allow everyone into heaven. But we must have a biblical view of the final judgment. What if I told you that the judgment for believers and unbelievers will be very different? What if I told you that unbelievers won’t be judged for their good works, and believers won’t be judged for their wrong doings? What if I told you the final judgment didn’t determine where people spent eternity, but it had a different purpose? Check this study out and share your thoughts with us.

Who is Revelation written to? Why would it be written to the church if the church is going to be raptured out before the Great Tribulation? If that’s the case, then is it written to the non-Christians so that they’ll have a chance to read it and be saved as they’re going through the Great Tribulation? I guess you’ll just have to check out these resources to find out for yourself!
