There are two kinds of people in Alabama. One kind says says Roll Tide, and the other says War Eagle…and nothing else matters around here when it comes to college football. The last 3 National Championships, 2 of the last 3 Heisman Trophy winners, and 3 of the last SEC Championships have come from either Alabama or Auburn. Needless to say, we aint playin when it comes to college football, yall!
Alabama and Auburn meet up and show down every year in what is called, the Iron Bowl. Every year we like to have our own CBSM Iron Bowl to see who has the best fans in the student ministry. Here’s how we compete:
1. Who brings the most fans to their side (teams sit on opposite sides and even coerce other fans like UT, UGA, and others to their side).
2. Who has the craziest fans. We will play their team’s fight song, and the team that goes the nuttiest wins.
3. Which team’s fans are dressed up the best?
4. Which team has the best dressed fan?
5. Which team member can do the best touchdown dance?
6. Who has the best quarterback? Continue reading
This Wednesday, November 17 is our CBSM IRON BOWL 3. Here’s what we do:
Come dressed up in your favorite college team apparel…even if its not Bama or Auburn. Get ready as our Bama and Auburn fans will try to persuade you to sit on their side. So the place will be packed out for the Bama and Auburn opening videos. But not only will there be tons of people in crimson/white and orange/blue. There will also be some crazy Iron Bowl games. Here are some options of what we’ll play.
Best Student Section, Craziest Fan, Most fans, Best dressed fans, Best Halftime Locker room Pep-Talk, Best Touchdown Dance, and more!
So yall c’mon out to CBSM this Wednesday. We’ll start chillin at 6pm, and our service will start-up at 6:30pm. We want you with us!
Alabama vs. Auburn is the biggest rivarly round here in these parts. Everybody knows it around here as the Iron Bowl. Well we capitalize off of it here at CBSM. The Wednesday night before the Iron Bowl every year we’re having a little Iron Bowl of our own. Here’s how we go bout it…
We go off a point system, and the team with the most points…WINS (shocker)! The two teams can get points by having the most people on their side. Obviously Alabama fans will sit on one side, Auburn fans will sit on the other side, and they can coerce whoever they want to sit on their side with them (if they’re like a loser Tennessee fan or something). We will also give points for the best dressed team, and the team with the craziest dressed fanatics. Live team mascots such as elephants, eagles, and tigers will also win big points! Continue reading
