CBSM’s Back 2 School Bash:Wednesday, August 28th

CBSM’s Back 2 School Bash is Wednesday, August 28th from 4:30-9:00pm. It is for all of the high schoolers and middle schoolers in the 256 and all their friends.

From 4:30-6:30pm we’ll be going crazy with stuff like dodge ball, climbing mountain, bouncy boxing, bungee trampoline, obstacle course, and the whizzer. We’ll also be serving up free food like hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, drinks, popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy.

From 6:30-7:30pm we’ll throw a quick worship service with some rockin music by our band, and a quick message from God’s Word. We’ll end that up with $600 in give-a-way prizes!

Then from 7:30-9:00pm we’ll open up the huge water slide, with the inflatables, and more food.

If you’re in middle school or high school, you are your friends are invited out to party hard with us for Jesus. Boom.

CBSM White Water Rafting Trip

CBSM White Water Rafting Trip
What: Rafting the Full River!
Where: Ocoee River Benton, TN (right outside of Cleveland)
When: August 10th (leave 6am, return 7pm)
Cost: $80 per person. Lunch is included
Age: Must be 12 or older. Families are welcome to join us.
Transportation: We will carpool there. Help us with transportation!
Chaperones: There will be a Capshaw adult per 6-7 CBSM teens.
Guides: There will be an adult trained guide per raft.
Why: Because Jesus wants to be adventurous, fun, and enjoy exhilarating stuff!
***Must have money check made out to Capshaw turned in by July 5th to hold your reservation

6:30-9:30pm in our Student Building.

CBSM Christmas Partay 2012: Wed, Dec 12


CBSM’s Christmas Partay will be Wednesday, December 12 in our FLC Gymnasium.
We’ll party it up from 6:30 – 8:00pm.
Middle Schoolers bring a 2 liter soft drink or 2 gallon sweet tea.
High Schoolers bring a dessert.
We will have our own Christmas Jazz Band.
Everybody invite and bring your friends.

CBSMers bring a gift for our Salvation Army Christmas Tree Angels. Like last Christmas, this Christmas we want to be missional with the gospel by being a blessing families in need in our area. Each of our CBSM small groups have adopted a “Salvation Army Christmas Tree Angel” family. We want to give gift gifts to the kids in these families, but we also want to share Jesus with them! So we’re asking each of our CBSM students to write a letter with their personal salvation testimony while sharing the gospel with these kids and families. Jesus could make this the best Christmas of their entire life! In your personal testimony, be sure to include Jesus as God and man, Jesus’ sinless life, Jesus’ death and burial, Jesus’ Lordship and resurrection, and our need for repentance of sin and faith in Him!

CBSM Iron Bowl IV: Alabama vs. Auburn Night


There are two kinds of people in Alabama. One kind says says Roll Tide, and the other says War Eagle…and nothing else matters around here when it comes to college football. The last 3 National Championships, 2 of the last 3 Heisman Trophy winners, and 3 of the last SEC Championships have come from either Alabama or Auburn. Needless to say, we aint playin when it comes to college football, yall!

Alabama and Auburn meet up and show down every year in what is called, the Iron Bowl. Every year we like to have our own CBSM Iron Bowl to see who has the best fans in the student ministry. Here’s how we compete:
1. Who brings the most fans to their side (teams sit on opposite sides and even coerce other fans like UT, UGA, and others to their side).
2. Who has the craziest fans. We will play their team’s fight song, and the team that goes the nuttiest wins.
3. Which team’s fans are dressed up the best?
4. Which team has the best dressed fan?
5. Which team member can do the best touchdown dance?

CBSM All-Nighter for Middle School Only (6-8th Grade)

Our Middle School All-Nighter is October 19-20 from 7pm – 6am! We want all of our middle schoolers to come, and to invite all their friends. CBSM has had tons of all-nighters and they are always amazing! So do whatever you have to do to not miss this. The schedule is below and the cost is only $40 which is crazy low for all we get to do! So make sure to turn in your registration form and $40 by Wednesday, Oct 10th along with all your friends’ stuff, too!

7pm: Registration
8pm: Rocking Worship Service
11pm: Neon Skating, All You Can Eat Pizza (w/ drinks), and Laser Tag
2am: Black-light Bowling
5am: All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast
6am: Go Home

CBSM’s Back 2 School Bash is coming up! Here’s the info:
When: Wednesday, August 29th. 4:30 – 9:30pm
Price: Free
Who’s Invited: All 6th – 12th Graders
Purpose: To serve all the teens in our community with some serious fun.
What to do: Invite every teenage friend you possible know.

Schedule:
4:30-6:30 Game Time: Bungee Trampoline, Bouncing Boxing Ring, Video Game Theater, Laser Tag, Human-Hamster Ball Races, and Cookout
6:30-8:00 Service Time: CBSM Rockin Worship Band, Life-Changing Message, and Prize Give Way ($300 Grand Prize gift card, $200 in other prizes)
8:00-9:30 Hang Time: S’mores, Bonfire, Huge Water Slide, Volleyball, Bouncing Boxing Ring, etc.

Canoe Trip for CBSM Middle School


CBSM Middle School is going canoeing this Thursday, July 19 at the Buffalo River in Waynesboro, TN.
Meet at the CBSM Building at 8:30am. We’ll be back around 4:30pm.
You need to make sure you’ve paid your $17.50, bring your own lunch, and turn in the medical release form.
If you’re still interested, we can take more. Bring your money this Wednesday, but you’ll need to make sure you have your own ride.

The Fourth At The Fowlers


The Fourth At The Fowlers is our annual 4th of July party at their place. This year it lands on the actual 4th, and that’s not going to stop us! Feel free to come the whole time, hang out, drop by, bring friends, etc. Its always a HUGE party with tons of teens. So make sure not to miss it. Bring a football, frisbee, friends, and your own fireworks!

When: Leave church at 7:30am. Return at 7:30pm.
Cost: $88.50 per student. Full river lunch provided.
