Imagine 150ish teenagers getting together to go crazy in worshiping Jesus and then to get quiet in hearing from His Word. Our night together in Acts 2 was insane! At the start of the new year, I believed God was leading us to take a look at the start of His church in Acts 2, and then the start of our year as a student ministry in 2011. Listen in to see what we believe are God’s plans for CBSM in 2011.

This Week’s ANNOUCEMENTS @ CBSM

CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Tommorrow is the BIG DAY! Our BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH will most likely be our BIGGEST event of the entire year. Are you ready? Its all going to kick-off @ 4pm with tons inflatable games. At 5:30pm we’ll start serving up some supper. Then at 6:30pm we’ll start our worship service. We’re expecting tons of teens to come. Make sure to bring your friends. You won’t want to miss this EPIC EVENT. If you have any questions or need more info, just check out our blog on it at http://www.storylineframework.com.

CBSM Weekly Announcements

CBSM students, parents, and leaders:
 A LOT has happened since our last email last week.  First, me and some students have been praying recently to see God saved more lives, and since then we’ve seen 6 or more!  Second, Phillip McBryde (CBSM and BJHS senior) preached a super epic sermon last Wednesday called “When God Laid the Smack Down.”  You gotta get to the blog (http://www.storylineframework.com <http://www.storylineframework.com/> ) and listen to it if you missed it!  Third, we had a HUGE All-Nighter with about 127 teens including about 64 visitors which means we had more visitors than CBSMers for the first time ever.  Shout-out to our teens who are reaching their friends!  Last, a few of us got to hear Blake’s (CBSM and BJHS junior) practice sermon this past Sunday.  He’ll BRING IT this Wednesday night…and its all on “Total Restoration.”  You won’t want to miss it…along with our crazy games, awesome worship, and super fun.  It’s so good to be a CBSMite!

CBSM Weekly Announcements

CBSM students, parents, and leaders:
I’m sooo thankful for how God used and spoke to David Munoz (Sparkman Sophomore) as he preached Job 2 – 37 last week.  This week we’ll have another guest speaker from our own CBSM students: Phillip McBryde (aka: PMac, Man-Child, Wilderbeast).  He will bring da funk as he preaches Job 38 – 42.  It will be something about “When God Lays the Smack Down.”  We had a huge crowd last Wednesday of over 130 teenagers.  Keep working hard to bring your friends, and we’ll keep working hard to make room.

Here’s what you need to know for this week…

STORYLINE Wednesday Worship (6:00 – 8:00pm)
This Wednesday we’ll continue our book of Job series called “Afflicted” with a special guest student speaker: Phillip McBryde (senior at Bob Jones High School ).  Phillip has literally been a part of Capshaw Baptist from birth.  Bob Jones, come out and represent!  The night is going to be a blast with an opening video, a game from minute to win it, powerful worship, and a challenging Word from the Bible.  Keep inviting and bringing your unsaved/unchurched friends!   Continue reading →

CBSM Weekly Announcements

CBSM students, parents, and leaders:
We’re coming off of one SUPER AWESOME Sunday as we had over 1000 with us for Easter worshipping Jesus all together. Many were saved. Several were baptized. And Jesus got all the glory! I’m crazy pumped about this Wednesday as we start the book of Job which is all about going through hard times, being afflicted, suffering, and remaining faithful to God. Continue to do a great job of bringing all your friends, but especially think of those that may be hurting, going through hard times, and have many questions about God in it. Remember your BASIC and ADVANCE second deposits are due this Sunday as well. Check below for details!

Here’s what you need to know for this week…

STORYLINE Wednesday Worship (6:00 – 8:00pm)
This Wednesday we’ll kick-off a brand spanking new series on the book of Job called “Affliction”. I just saw the Clash of the Titans movie, so we’ll probably talk about it as it relates to Job…a crazy comparison! We’ll have pizza for sale for just $1 a slice as always. We’ll continue on with our “minute to win it” games. And of course we’ll have some intense worship all throughout the night…as always!
