Being the brother of Jesus, Jude seems like he would be Mr. Nice Guy. But when you read his book, you’ll see he gets serious with some straight up real talk to his readers about avoiding false teachers and living for Jesus. Jude does not play around when it comes to sin. He warns Christians about judgment, and calls them out on the carpet! You’ll definitely love this study. Let us know your thoughts!

Michael Harris was saved in CBSM as a 7th grader, baptized and called into the pastoral ministry as an 8th grader. It has been incredible to watch Michael grow in the grace and gospel of Jesus over the last 5 years. Michael’s knowledge, faith, worship, and life has obviously deepened as he’s matured. Michael preached for our KTL month last year, and this is just an incredible sermon from the book of 3 John that concludes Michael’s senior year so well. I’m so thankful to have been his youth pastor, and I know God will use him greatly in ministry!

Seth Fowler is a senior at East Limestone High School. Over the last couple of years, he has sensed some type of calling to church planting. Seth has been in our KTL preacher training class for the last 5 years. Tonight, he preached one of the best sermons from a teenager I’ve ever heard in my life! The way he explained the passage he was preaching with such humility, honesty, and transparency of his own sin was mind-blowing and convicting. Seth talks about the lies that Satan throws at us, how we believe those lies, and how Jesus’ truths are far better than any lie.

I’ve always heard that Christian teenagers have two main questions: How do I know if I’m really saved? And, what is God’s will for my life? This study is designed to put the first question to rest and offer assurance. As their youth pastor, I really wanted to teach this in a non-confrontational, non-emotional, and non-freaky-scary way. I’ve seen too many pastors make people doubt their salvation, so I wanted to just present the facts and let the Spirit do the work. Once you take a look or a listen, let me know what you think!

Like high school algebra, chemistry, or physics, sometimes we think the Bible is full of incredibly deep truths that do not relate to our every day lives. James is one of those amazing books that brings the faith down to real life. It is often many people’s favorite books because its so tangibly practical. James encourages us to not be just hearers of the Word, but to be doers of the Word. I think one of the most important sections of James to where we have to not just hear but to do is James 2 about not playing favorites with people. God values all people equally, and so should we. This study on James is all about how to value everyone equally, and what to do about it. What are your thoughts?

Have you ever needed a change in your life? Have you ever woke up one day, not liked who you are, and you wish you could just start over or start something new? This dude Onesimus needed a serious life change. He didn’t like who he was, and he did some huge things that he regretted. The book of Philemon is all about life change, and how life change brings a love change. Every real life change also changes your family, your relationships, and your friendships. Listen to find out why and how God can do that in your life!

Who is not addicted to their phones these days? We’re addicted to texting, Twitter, Instagram, emails, Facebook, Snapchat, etc because we are ultimately addicted to relationships. We love to stay involved in each others lives. We’re addicted to all of that social media because God created humanity for community. The reason we get bored with church is because we tend to look at it as getting knowledge rather than growing in relationships. We tend to get bored with Jesus because we look at Him as a truth rather than a real relationship. Church is more than knowledge, and Jesus is more than a truth! God’s awesome design for us is to grow in truth and knowledge through relationship with others. We need to learn from others who have lived for Jesus. Check out this study in Titus on exactly how God calls us to do this. What are your thoughts?
