There is a huge difference in the today’s understanding of missions and the Bible’s description of being missional. We normally think of missions today as a trip, an offering, a budget, and an option. Check out this study to see how the Bible describes what it means to be missional, the differences, and the attitude!

There are some seriously crazy miracles that happens in the book of Acts! I’m talking about an apostles shadow healing people, a handkerchief of an apostle being passed around to heal people, apostles raising people from the dead, casting demons out people, people dying on the spot for specific sin, and other awesome stuff. These miracles are all about Jesus keeping His promise to build the church through the power of the Holy Spirit through the book of Acts. We’re seeing right before our very eyes the power of Jesus through His apostles, pastors, and churches to show the glory of the gospel going forward. But should we expect those same miracles to happen today? Are they supposed to be normal? Can God still do them? Check it all out here!

So for real…what makes a church, a church? Is any kind of a Bible study really a church? Can any campus Christian fellowship basically be a church? Is the church really all that important as long as you have biblical teaching and Christian fellowship in your life? Does God really place all that high priority on the church today? What makes a church, a church? Jesus said that He would build His church and that wherever two or three are gathered in His name that He would be in the midst of them. Does that mean that a church is present whenever two or more Christians get together? In this study, we learned about the marks of the church. God said that He would be glorified throughout every generation through the church, and that the church is the fulness of Jesus. So, we better know what for real constitutes a church! Check it out: What makes a church, a church?

The most mind-blowing grand opening I’ve ever heard of is Chickfila. You’ve got to Google it and read up on it. But even more mind-blowing than that, is the Grand Opening of The Church! God did some crazy miracles, thousands were saved, and the people actually changed and became a loving church. It is a fascinating story that should motivate the way that we live together as the church of Jesus Christ. So here we go, pay attention to the miracle, the message, and the ministry of the church.

There is nothing like going to a college football game! Having to park 2 miles away. Everyone dressed in the same colors. Walking through the tailgating smells of grilled meats and the glows of satellite TV’s. Feeling the energy as you enter the stadium. Experiencing a common bond with thousands of others during the game. Cheering as loud as you can and going crazy and no one thinking a thing about it! And its all ultimately about what? You got it! 22 men on a field in super tight, shiny pants that make skinny jeans look like hipsters are sagging. All with the goal of moving an inflated leather bladder across a line of paint? Don’t get me wrong, I love college football! I’m just saying…college football ain’t got nothing on God’s goal for the church! The energy, the passion, the commonality, the emotion, the excitement, the bond, the message, and the outcome. We’re talking a gathering of people hyped up because the God-man stepped into their world to save them. So here’s a study to get you excited about the church by sharing the same view and passion that Jesus has for His church!
