This is the finale to our series on Sin <<< Salvation. Not only is it the grand finale, but it was also our message for our Back 2 School Bash event! All teenagers live with a label. Normally from middle school or earlier, their friends and acquaintances have labeled a certain person, a certain way, with a certain stereotype. Its really hard to shake a label. Teenagers normally end up living out the way everyone else expects them to. Here’s the great news…God has labeled us! What do I do for my salvation? So many people get the gospel wrong, the essentials for salvation wrong, and God’s whole goal of salvation wrongly. I believe there is one essential part of salvation missing in the gospel being presented today that leaves people unsaved…even when they think they are. “God is not mad at you, no matter what” is a sign I read at least every week as I drive into Huntsville, AL. It is terrifying to know that very few churches are teaching the truth on God’s judgment awaiting unbelievers for their sin. They have been separated from Him and they will be judged. This is a very real and intense message on understanding a sinner’s separation from God, God’s judgment on sin, and everything a believer has to be thankful for.

I think a huge question people wonder about is, “What makes a sin…a sin?” In other words, why are all these things sins? What makes them so bad and so wrong? Why is God so offended by them? What is a good definition for sin? Are all sins found in the Bible, or are there others that are out there? This week’s study will help you answer all those questions. We are kicking off this brand spanking new summer series on the Doctrines of Sin and Salvation. Its so interesting that God planned to kick off this series on sin at the start of our summer. Everyone knows the summer usually has way more opportunity for sin in so many different ways. This first study is on the origin of sin or “Where did sin come from?” We believe that its important to know where sin came from so that you can know where its going to take you. We hope you’re following after Jesus and not sin!
