Everyone loves a good story. Some stories have absolutely taken our culture by storm such as: Harry Potter, the Avengers, the Twilight Saga, The Hunger Games, etc. God designed us to be fascinated with story because all of our lives are caught up in the overarching story of the gospel, glory, and kingdom of Christ. Jesus was the master-storyteller. His stories were intriguing, gripping, and fascinating. Jesus told His disciples that He told His stories (the parables) so that some people would understand and that some wouldn’t. Did you know that Jesus told somewhere around 50 different parables? Did you know that Jesus’ stories made up of about a third of all His teachings combined? What are His parables all about, why did He go that route, and what do they mean for our lives?
