Last Wednesday we finished up the preaching part of our series on the doctrine of Scripture called “BEST BOOK EVER” with a sermon on “INFALLIBILITY: Will it really change my life?” The gist we were getting it as that the Scriptures are all powerful because Jesus is all powerful. He is the manifestation of God’s powerful voice in Psalm 29, He’s powerful to heal the sick, He’s powerful to raise the dead, He’s been given all authority by His Father, and His Word is as powerful as a two-edged sword that pierces our hearts. So INFALLIBILITY means that Scripture is so powerful that God will not fail to do what He promises He will do in and through His Word for the glory of His Son!

This Wednesday night, we’re going to be concluding our awesome series “BEST BOOK EVER” with a time of Question and Answer on the series. So students will be given instructions on how to text in their questions anonymously, and anything goes! We want students to feel comfortable enough to ask whatever they want, and we’ll answer as many questions as they want. I can’t wait to make this happen! Yall invite and bring as many friends as possible, and we’ll answer as many questions as we can from everyone!

Here’s what you need to know for this week…

STORYLINE Wednesday Worship (6:00 – 8:00pm)
This Wednesday, we’ll finish up our BEST BOOK EVER series with a Question & Answer time by students texting in their toughest questions to get a biblical answer.

FRAMEWORK Sunday School (9:15 – 10:15am)
This Sunday, we will all meet in the student building at 9:15am for announcements and then we’ll all be involved in another question and answer time with our DNOW speaker, Jedidiah Coppenger, on questions of culture, entertainment, technology, media, etc.

STUDENT MINISTRY TEAMS (SMTs) Sunday Evening (6:30 – 7:30pm)
SMTs are not meeting this Sunday night because of the exhausting DNOW weekend, and we want you to spend the evening witnessing to trick-or-treaters with the name of Jesus Christ!

EVENTS
October 29-31: CBSM DNOW 2010. You’ve GOT to set-aside this weekend on your calendar, free it up, and be here. DNOW weekend is insanely amazing! Just think…4 epic worship services over the weekend, staying in designated homes with your small group friends, mission projects, and an official CBSM DNOW Tshirt…all that for just $20! All your friends are invited. Let’s do this!

January 14-17: CBSM SKI TRIP 2011. Reserve this date on your calendar as we’ll be going to SUGAR MOUNTAIN in Boone, North Carolina to ski it up! Registration is now closed. If you’re going…your remaining balance of $250 is due BY Wednesday, December 8. And our mandatory Ski Trip meeting for everyone going is Sunday, December 5. The full $350 cost includes two days of skiing, basic/necessary rentals, lift tickets, transportation, all meals once in NC, and your official CBSM Ski Trip tshirt. Students will need to pay for 2 meals going up and 2 meals coming home. We will have small group Bible studies at night.
