CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Last week was one of the biggest worship services we’ve ever had, yall. God used you to bring in right at 137 teenagers. That’s ridiculous! The summer is definitely a time of vacations and people being away, so we’ll have tons of extra open seats. Keep inviting your friends to come and worship Jesus with us. We’re working on a RIDICULOUS schedule through the month of August…so hang on tight and enjoy the CBSM ride!

Here’s what you need to know for this week…

STORYLINE Wednesday Worship (6:00 – 8:00pm)
This Wednesday, we’ll continue our summer-long series through the book of Psalms with a sermon on “iWorship: from the Word.” In June, we’re back on our regular format of stupid videos, crazy games, intense worship, and in-your-face preaching. I’m praying yall will bring many unsaved and unchurched with ya!

FRAMEWORK Sunday School (9:15 – 10:15am)
This Sunday, we will all meet in the student building at 9:15am for our weekly announcements and then go into our small group rooms for fellowship and discussion about what God did in our lives and taught us from last Wednesday’s message from His Word.

MINISTRY TEAMS Sunday Evening (6:30 – 7:30pm)
Pretty much all of our SMT’s have been postponed through the summer, and they’ll kick back up in August.

EVENTS
June 26 – July 2: BASIC Detroit Mission Trip ($350). Check our blog for full details. BASIC is a mission trip to Detroit, MI for training students in missions and evangelism. It is for students currently in 8th grade (in Spring 2010) and up

July 7: Fireworks at the Fowler’s. On Wednesday, June 7, we’ll have our worship service start at 6:30pm as always, but it’ll be shorter than usual. Then we’ll all head over to the Fowler family’s house for a huge cook-out all together and fireworks until like 10pm. So make sure to bring your own fireworks for this!

July 17 – 24: ADVANCE Mission Trip to San Diego ($750). Check our blog for full details. ADVANCE is a mission trip to San Diego, CA for challenging students in missions and evangelism. It is for students currently in 10th grade (in Spring 2010) and up. Important ADVANCE dates: parents meeting and application due (noon Feb 7), first $100 deposit due (Feb 17), $300 deposit due (April 11), and remaining $350 balance due (July 11).
