CBSM students, parents, and leaders:
A LOT has happened since our last email last week.  First, me and some students have been praying recently to see God saved more lives, and since then we’ve seen 6 or more!  Second, Phillip McBryde (CBSM and BJHS senior) preached a super epic sermon last Wednesday called “When God Laid the Smack Down.”  You gotta get to the blog (http://www.storylineframework.com <http://www.storylineframework.com/> ) and listen to it if you missed it!  Third, we had a HUGE All-Nighter with about 127 teens including about 64 visitors which means we had more visitors than CBSMers for the first time ever.  Shout-out to our teens who are reaching their friends!  Last, a few of us got to hear Blake’s (CBSM and BJHS junior) practice sermon this past Sunday.  He’ll BRING IT this Wednesday night…and its all on “Total Restoration.”  You won’t want to miss it…along with our crazy games, awesome worship, and super fun.  It’s so good to be a CBSMite!

Here’s what you need to know for this week…

STORYLINE Wednesday Worship (6:00 – 8:00pm)
This Wednesday we’ll wrap-up our series on the book of Job called “Affliction” with a message from Blake (CBSM and BJHS junior) on Job 42:7-10 called “Total Restoration.”  Talk to your friends and get them to come out with you to another life-changing night of worship and the Word with CBSM!

FRAMEWORK Sunday School (9:15 – 10:15am)
This Sunday, we will meet in the student building at 9:15am for announcements, and then go to our small group rooms to discuss what God taught us and did in our lives on Wednesday night and through the week.

MINISTRY TEAMS Sunday Evening (6:30 – 7:30pm)
This Sunday night our Student Ministry Teams will not meet from 6:30 – 7:30pm due to the Capshaw Night of Praise we’ll all be hittin up.  If SMTs need to meet, they should meet before or after the night of praise.

EVENTS:
May 16: Senior Recognition Sunday. Make sure your high school graduation senior is signed up to be honored on Sunday, May 16.  Also, don’t forget to turn in their pictures, and how many will be eating lunch with us from your family.

May 31 – June 5:  CBSM Camp Week at the BEACH ($325). This is going to be an awesome week of missions and worship at the beach at our own retreat center. Your $150 deposit to save your spot is due now. Many other details are on our blog.  Just type in “CBSM Beach Camp.”
June 6: CBSM Promotion Sunday. Your student will be promoted to their next small group on Sunday, June 6th.  The 6th graders will move up into the student ministry as a 7th grader, and the seniors will move into the college ministry as freshman.  Just a heads up here for ya!
June 21 – 25: Capshaw VBS Week. We encourage ALL of our CBSM students to volunteer, help, and serve at the Capshaw VBS week.  The serving is mandatory for our BASIC and ADVANCE mission trippers (because we’re just mean like that), but it is also highly encouraged for the rest of our students!

June 26 – July 2: BASIC Detroit Mission Trip ($350). Check our blog for full details.  BASIC is a mission trip to Detroit, MI for training students in missions and evangelism.  It is for students currently in 8th grade (in Spring 2010) and up.  Important BASIC dates: total balance of $325 is due (May 13).

July 17 – 24: ADVANCE Mission Trip to San Diego ($750). Check our blog for full details.  ADVANCE is a mission trip to San Diego, CA for challenging students in missions and evangelism.  It is for students currently in 10th grade (in Spring 2010) and up.  Important ADVANCE dates: parents meeting and application due (noon Feb 7), first $100 deposit due (Feb 17), $300 deposit due (April 11), and remaining $350 balance due (July 11). (This trip is now closed to only those who are signed-up. Sorry!)
