CBSM Weekly News and Announcements

CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Last Wednesday we continued our new series we’re calling “Best Book Ever” with a challenging question “Is it really all true?” This is called the “doctrine of Inerancy” which is all about whether or not the Bible is fully true and perfect with no errors. We studied that it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18), that the Word is all about Jesus and He is The Truth (John 1:1 and John 14:6), and that Jesus said God’s Word is Truth (John 17:17). So therefore, God teaches us that His Word is perfect truth, fully true, absolute truth, and without any errors or mistakes. We can fully trust His Word!

This Wednesday night, we’re going to be continuing our awesome series “BEST BOOK EVER” with a sermon on “Is it really all I need to read?” This is specifically talking about the SUFFICIENCY of all Scripture. So, make sure to come this Wednesday night for a crunk time of worship, and work hard to invite all your unsaved/unchurched friends…especially those who don’t believe, doubt, question, have concerns, criticize, or just aren’t sure about the Bible being God’s Word.

Weekly Announcements at CBSM

CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Last Wednesday we continued our new series we’re calling “Best Book Ever” with a challenging question “Who really wrote it all?” It was so AMAZING to see how God used His Word in all of our lives as we studied it for almost an hour and fifteen minutes! We looked at what it meant that God’s Word is inspired, what it does not mean, how God’s Word was written by Him and His authors, and what difference that makes for our lives.

This Wednesday night, we’re going to be continuing our awesome series “BEST BOOK EVER” with a sermon on “Is it really all fully true?” This is specifically talking about the INERRANCY of all Scripture. The 411 on CBSM this Week: Announcements and Newsletter

CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Last Wednesday we continued our new series we’re calling “Best Book Ever” with a challenging question “Do I really have to obey it all?” The sermon shortened goes a little something like this: since God is our creator and absolute authority, He has the right to tell us to do whatever He wants. Because God is our authority, then His Word is authoritative to us. And His Word shows us the commanding, powerful, loving, and protective authority of His Son, Jesus! So, obey the authority of Jesus through His Word!

This Wednesday night, we’re going to be continuing our brand new awesome series “BEST BOOK EVER” with a sermon on “Who really wrote all of it?” This is specifically talking about the INSPIRATION of all Scripture. So, make sure to come this Wednesday night for a crunk time of worship, and work hard to invite all your unsaved/unchurched friends…especially those who don’t believe, doubt, question, have concerns, criticize, or just aren’t sure about the Bible being God’s Word.

The CBSM Report: weekly update on our events, services, etc.

CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Last Wednesday we kicked off our new series called “BEST BOOK EVER” with a sermon on “What’s it really all about?” And of course the answer to that question is….JESUS! God had the Bible written to be all about JESUS…from cover to cover! The reason that is…is because God wants all history, all the future, all eternity, all of our lives, all of our churches, etc. to be all about His Son. Many of our students took the challenge to be in God’s Word every single day as we go through this series. If we do that…we will grow closer to Christ as CBSM.

The NEWS on CBSM this Week

CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Remember last week’s message and continue to reach out to others with the love of Christ! Whether they are in your school or by themselves in our student ministry, if we want to be a true ministry for Jesus…we MUST HAVE LOVE!

This Wednesday night, we’re going to be kicking-off a brand new awesome series we’re calling “BEST BOOK EVER” which is all about the Doctrine of Scripture (understanding the Bible). This Wednesday night will be all about how to understand the one key piece of information that makes sense of the entire Bible. Since we all are wanting to understand God’s Word and what its about even more…and our friends are wanting the same thing…this will be a super helpful night!

Weekly Update on CBSMcenter

I’m super excited about this Wednesday night. I believe that God is giving me a challenge we all need to hear. As God is growing our student ministry with a huge crowd every Wednesday night…we need to remember to grow spiritually in LOVE inside and outside CBSM. So, I’ll be preaching on “The CBSM Love Virus.” So yall c’mon out, and make sure to bring loads of friends!

Weekly Announcements on CBSMcenter

CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Our BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH last Wednesday was RIDICULICIOUS! If you haven’t heard the report, we had: 255 total teens, 60 first time visitors, and at least 7 teens saved! Yesterday, we went out and made over 40 visits to invite many back. So, this is CRUCIAL…work hard to invite your friends back for this Wednesday, so we can get them plugged in. We have a special treat for you for you this Wednesday too: Dean Inserra (DNOW 08 Speaker) will be preaching! Don’t come back this Wedneday…ALONE!

This Week’s ANNOUCEMENTS @ CBSM

CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Tommorrow is the BIG DAY! Our BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH will most likely be our BIGGEST event of the entire year. Are you ready? Its all going to kick-off @ 4pm with tons inflatable games. At 5:30pm we’ll start serving up some supper. Then at 6:30pm we’ll start our worship service. We’re expecting tons of teens to come. Make sure to bring your friends. You won’t want to miss this EPIC EVENT. If you have any questions or need more info, just check out our blog on it at www.storylineframework.com.

B2SB: Back 2 School Bash 2010 for CBSM


2008 Back to School Bash Video:

Its BAAAAACK! The annual CBSM BACK2SCHOOL BASH is about to be in session. Here’s the info…
DATE: Wednesday, August 25th
TIME: 4 – 8pm
WHERE: Capshaw Baptist Church (14944 Dupree-Worthey Rd., Harvest, AL 35749. Just 2 miles off 72 from Old RR Bed Rd.)
WHO: All 7th – 12th graders
WHAT: We just want to show some love to all the teens in our area, so we are putting on this FREE event full of inflatable games, carnival foods, prizes, free hot dog supper, and a rockin worship service.
SCHEDULE:
4:00-6:00p Inflatables and Carnival Food
5:30-6:30p FREE hot dog supper
6:30-8:00p Rockin worship service with some crazy videos, hilarious games, the CBSM band, and a challenging message from me, Pastor Chip.
So if you’re a 7th-12th grader, leave your wallet at home for this totally FREE and EPIC event. Bring all the friends you want. And we’ll see you around 4pm to get this party started. If you have any questions, feel free to email me: chip.dean@capshaw.org

This Week’s CBSM ANNOUNCEMENTS

CBSM students, parents, and small group leaders:
Praise God for how He used yall to reach out to your friends to bring in over 170 teenagers this last Wednesday! Talk to those friends and get them back this Wednesday. We’ll keep talking about MOTI (Man on the Island) to see where he will go when he dies…and why. Specifically this Wednesday we’ll be talking about whether or not he is INNOCENT for his sin. Is he sinful? What could he possibly be doing wrong on a deserted island all by himself? In fact, I’m challenging you to bring in the SINNERS from school you can possibly find. Bring in those girls and those guys who seem like they have NO CONSCIENCE. Bring them in…and let’s see what God does in their lives. This Wednesday will also be our HUGE PUSH for the the BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH next Wednesday!
