The Blog Formally Known As: Storyline.Framework

StorylineFramework.com is now YouthGroupTruth.com. We originally named this Blog of CBSM Storyline.Framework because our Wednesday worship services are called “Storyline” and our Sunday morning small groups are called “Framework”. After having several conversations with guys who know a lot more than me when it comes to the online world, I became convinced that storyline.framework meant nothing to anyone who was looking for resources that our blog offers. After a little personal research on google, I found that the most popular search words on youth ministry were “youth group”. And the purpose of our blog is to spread the TRUTH of the gospel of Jesus Christ. So therefore we came up with www.youthgrouptruth.com. Just that easy! But nothing has changed in our content. This blog is still designed to be a free resource and download center for youth pastors, teenagers, parents, and any other student who are searching for deep truths about their lives for Christ.

CBSM in 2011 (small groups)
Imagine 150ish teenagers getting together to go crazy in worshiping Jesus and then to get quiet in hearing from His Word. Our night together in Acts 2 was insane! At the start of the new year, I believed God was leading us to take a look at the start of His church in Acts 2, and then the start of our year as a student ministry in 2011. Listen in to see what we believe are God’s plans for CBSM in 2011.

But not just to teach you about what’s going on, and also not just to teach you about what not to do…but really to teach you what culture actually is, how to discern what to stay away from, and how to know to use culture in every day life for the glory and fame of Jesus Christ. That is why we’re calling this whole weekend “Culture in 3D.”

You will meet Friday night at 9:30pm, and then you won’t go back home until Sunday around noon after the morning worship service. As you can see below on our DNOW schedule, the weekend will be full of 4 epic worship services, fun and fellowship in designated homes for small groups, mission projects, ridiculously good food, an exclusive DNOW 2010 tshirt, and oh so much more.

CBSM VIDEO: BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH 2010

The purpose of our B2SB is to love on all the students in our community by throwing all this for free and to get as many students into our worship service as possible to preach a super strong gospel message. We had a blast…and many were saved!

CBSM Guest Preacher: Dean Inserra “PROVOKED”

CBSM had in guest speaker: Dean Inserra this Wednesday night. Dean is a good friend of mine in the ministry, so when he told me he’d be passing through town last night…I had to get him in to speak. And by the way, pastors should ONLY have in speakers who are better preachers than they are…otherwise its just a waste of time. Dean is the pastor of “The Well” in Tallahassee, FL which is statitiscally said to be not only the fastest growing church in Florida, but also the fastest growing church plant that the SBC has ever had! He is a pastor and preacher who is unashamed about the gospel and preaches it with crazy boldness. The Well is growing so rapidly because God LOVES for His Word to be preached, His Son to be proclaimed, and His gospel to be professed! Continue reading

CBSM Student Ministry Teams (SMTs) Fall 2010

Here is a list of all of our Student Ministry Teams, when they meet, what they do, and who their leaders are. Our SMTs are a vital part of our ministry…as we seek to be a ministry and not just a service. So many teenagers today are bored to death or preoccupied with so many things that just don’t eternally matter for the glory of Jesus. So we encourage ALL of our students to serve Jesus through their church by using their spiritual gifts on one of our SMTS. Here’s the list.
